Hi,

while calling jam haiku-printingkit-cvs, i noticed that the generated
package puts drivers and transport add-ons in the right place, but places
print_server and Printers preflet in a folder called haiku-printingkit-cvs
on the desktop. Is there any specific reason for this or should this be
adjusted?

Regards,
Karsten

This package dates to old time (hence the -cvs suffix, which indicates very young period in formely-known-openbeos haiku development ;) ) when the printing kit was mainly built as replacement for BeOS systems. I guess the package was modeled after the other now-defunct *-cvs packages were the server/preflet where not installed automatically in place, the adventurous downloader(s) were supposed to do that themselves, taking the responsability in the process.

Anyway, today, this package doesn't make that sense anymore, even if the printing kit could still be used as a drop-in replacement for BeOS. If maintaining such package still make sense, at least we should rename the suffix into "-svn" (r better, -r<revision> !).

Bye,
Philippe.
